My baby is no longer a baby

It still amazes me how smart a little 1 year old can be! I am not just talking about Luke, I am talking about all babies. It is crazy how fast they pick up on things, how much they understand what we are saying and how FAST they start to turn into their own little person!

Luke's personality has been there for a while but lately it just seems like he is a whole different kid! He is silly, funny, sweet, bratty and everything in between! I have a sick feeling that he is going to be one independent child. I know that should make me happy but I feel a little lost right now! What happened to my little boy that cried for his mommy and wanted to be held and cuddled all the time? Now I have a toddler on my hands that all he wants to do when we go somewhere is walk WITHOUT holding Mommy's hand. He won't even hold my hand!

 

He is getting into everything these days also! We can't hardly keep up with him! 

I love my little man, he is my world! He is going to give us a run for our money though, he is such a little stinker!!

Day at home with daddy = one nervous mommy!

Ok so Charlie didn't have school today and offered to keep Luke for the day to spend some time with him. Then we get a call and find out that his Grandpa is coming into town. He always takes us all out to eat when he comes into town. Sounds fun right? Well I had to work so Charlie was going to have to take Luke out by himself.

This makes me nervous cause Charlie is a tad bit forgetful. When Luke was a few weeks old we went to the movie store to rent movies and Charlie forgot Luke in the car and I have been nervous since!! I was fretting all day and texting him non-stop!

Well when I get home I am expecting to see Luke a mess and crying at the window for his mommy but instead I see a very clean, dressed, fresh diapered happy baby! Daddy did good and I should give him more credit but man was I nervous all day!

Let's see if I can keep up with this!

Ok, so I am adding this to my long list of on-going projects! I am going to try to keep up with this blog about my handsome little man! 

Lukey is my world and is doing funny and new things everyday! He is walking now and boy is it weird to see him walking around the house. It is neat and sad at the same time! He is also doing a lot of sign language! He can say "please", "more", "eat" and "all done" using his signs....it is the cutest thing ever! 

 Here are some pics and I will post more later about Luke but it is basketball season and Charlie has a game tonight...joy!
